Carl-Fredrik Hamilton currently runs the company Boo Egendom AB, which encompasses forestry, agriculture, real estate, and wildlife management. The company leases Boo Fideikommiss, which is currently held by his father, Carl-Hugo Hamilton. The estate includes 11,800 hectares of productive forest land, the agriculture is approximately 650 hectares of arable land, a large number of cultural and rental properties, and one of Sweden’s most outstanding wildlife management. The entire estate covers over 16,000 hectares. The business is largely based on long-term sustainable forestry, where the private ownership perspective is central. Through collaboration with research institutions, strategies have also been developed to manage the effects of dense ungulate populations on soil and forest, a topic of significant interest today.
Carl-Fredrik has a forestry education from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and has extensive practical experience in managing the family estate. He has worked within the family business for over 20 years, as well as in the sawmill and forestry sectors. Additionally, he has served on the boards and working committees of several industry organizations. Carl-Fredrik has successfully developed the family business and demonstrated a strong ability to oversee the complex issues that many large estate managers must be able to handle.
