Victor Mate is a policy analyst for the Council of Forest Industries (COFI) in Vancouver, British Columbia (BC). He has a passion for sustainable forest management practices and forest policy development. He is guided by the challenge of finding sound, practical solutions to landscape-level decisions. Before his work at COFI, Victor spent five years working in various forest management roles across BC from harvest planning, road design, permitting, and mapping. He has a bachelor’s degree in Forest Operations from the University of British Columbia and is a Registered Professional Forester.
